The new cricket players agent regulations by the ECB came into effect as from 1st April 2011 requiring all agents of first class Players and Counties to be registered with ECB & PCA.

The ECB have now stated all agents need to obtain professional indemnity insurance as part of new PCA regulations.

The regulations advise that Registered Agents must at all times have in place appropriate professional liability insurance with a reputable insurer to a level determined by the ECB, and must disclose a copy of their policy and related documents upon request by the ECB or the PCA.

The ECB have set the minimum level of indemnity per claim at £500,000.
