If you are organising an amateur football tournament then you will require adequate public liability insurance cover to protect you from any claims of negligence that may be brought against you from accidental damage or injury to third parties at the event.

Public liability insurance can provide cover for organisers of indoor and outdoor football tournaments. Public liability cover starts with an indemnity limit of £1million and can range up to £10million depending upon the size and the venue of your tournament. You may also require employers liability cover should you enlist anybody to assist with the running of the tournament or officiating of matches whether on a voluntary or paid basis. Employers liability can be provided with a standard limit of £10million and is quoted on a sliding scale dependant of the number of assistants you enlist.
